In Ahrtal he impressed and developed the Dernauer Winzer Verein successfully into a premium vintner companionship manufactory.
Politics brought him from local mayor, to state parliament into German government and in 1999 from Bonn to Berlin. As a member of congress he got to know and love the capital city.
Since 2005 he puts all his heartblood into the hotel, his staff and guests. Thanks to his love to Ahrwine and the Ahrtal the hotel is named “BelAhr”.
